The wind howls outside. Storm lanterns sway gently. You and Luna sit near the edge of the platform, watching the waves
"You ever think about going back?"you asked softly
"There’s nothing there for me. The sea is my home now. Peace is here"she replied
Suddenly, a warning horn blares. Floukru villagers shout in alarm. Shadows move at the edge of the oil rig
"Boats! Coming fast!"someone screamed.Luna rises, calm but alert
"Seal the lower docks. No one gets in"shr commanded
Several small boats crash against the rig. Infected followers climb up, their faces eerily serene, chipped at the neck
"We come in peace. Join us. There is no pain here"someone from the chipped said
"It’s ALIE. They're chipped"you shouted at Luna
"We don’t fight. We don’t kill"she said
"They’re not here to give you a choice, Luna"yiu said pulling out your sword but she stops you
A young Floukru child screams. One chipped grabs a villager and forcefully tries to make them swallow a chip
"Go! Get the others to the tower. I’ll hold them off"you screamed at Luna looking at some chipped walking towards you clearly taking orders from ALIE
"You don’t have to do this"She shouted back
"I do. You gave me peace. I’ll buy you time"you screamed. You grab a harpoon and face the attackers. Luna hesitates, her eyes filled with sorrow, then nods and runs. Luna and villagers hide. Screams echo from outside
Then—silence
She walks out slowly. Bodies lie still, yours among them. One infected still clutches your shirt. Luna kneels beside you. Blood seeps from a wound in your side. You're still alive, barely
"You stubborn fool"she said looking at your face and then the wound in your stomach
"Peace... is worth dying for"you said choking on your breath. Luna presses her forehead to yours, tears falling
"May your soul return to the sea"she started as you looked up at her
