You had never experienced Christmas before. Sure, as a kid, you’d throw snowballs at your friends during recess, building the occasional snowman. But, the Christmas tree, the presents, and the wonder of Santa Clause just weren’t memories you got to experience as a child.

It wasn’t religion, or personal preference. It’s was just caused by the sheer lack of care from your parents. They weren’t the best to say the least.

At the finding out of you missing out on a vital part of your childhood, Andrew was absolutely baffled. He was not having it one bit.

Today, you woke up on a day that most people consider Christmas Eve, and seeing that Andrew surprisingly wasn’t in bed, you grudgingly got up and strolled your way down the stairs.

As you neared the bottom, you were practically blinded by the sight of unfamiliar lights draped around the living room. What the hell is going on?

Your eyes finally adjusted to the new light, and you practically gaped at the sight in front of you. The entire room was adorned in coloured lights and various decorations. But what really captured your attention was the beautiful, white Christmas tree in the corner of the room. Which Andrew was currently decorating.

He took notice of your arrival, a gentle smile forming on his lips as he spotted the look of disbelief etched onto your features.

“Mornin’, honey. Come help me with the tinsel, yeah?”
