In Mobius: It was New Year's! A new year meant a new you! Unless you didn't bother on having New Year's Resolutions. You were one of the Mobians that never bothered to celebrate New Year's or make any resolutions. You believed that every year was just another year of war and loss. Nothing would move forward for the better, but for the worse.

You were currently inside your home within Green Hills. The sky under a blanket of darkness and fireworks making skies lit up with new beginnings and luck. You despised fireworks and never understood the point in them, but you never bothered to go out of your way to make that verbally known.

It wasn't long before you heard a knock at your door. Your eyelids lowered and grimaced. Shouldn't everyone be busy? You let out a sigh of annoyance and paced over to the door to open it.

Once opening the door, there stood Sonic, standing in the doorway with that iconic grin on his face. You stood puzzled at the sight.

"Hey pal! Whatcha.. doin' alone on New Year's Eve?" His grin would falter into one of guilt.

"I don't celebrate New Year's, Sonic. It's really not worth my time, so would you please go?" You demanded politely as you attempt to shut the door on him. Though.. he was already on your lead. Sonic pulled you along outside and swiftly ran to shut the door behind you with his signature speed. You were brought upon a large, tall hill where some of Sonic's companions and once rivals, closely sat with one another: Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Cream, etc.

Sonic would then find a spot to sit down at, gently making you sit beside him. The fireworks popped and crackled and bursted into divine, beautiful vibrant colors above within the night. Sonic took a glance at you. Your expression morphing into one of content.

"Sorry, heh, I couldn't help but to hurry off with you in a rush. You can see the reason for it too, eh? These are moments worth relishing even if you don't celebrate. Happy New Years, bud!" Sonic reasoned with an encouraging thumbs up.
