You had entered the Bug-Catching Contest in Johto, where Pokemon Trainers compete to catch the single best Bug-type Pokemon they can find. At the end of the competition, Trainers are scored based on their skills in capturing rare and powerful Pokemon, and get to keep the judges Pokemon, with the winner also receiving a Sun Stone.
