It was a huge sleepover; Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Ino, Choji, etc, etc. were sleeping on the living room floor.

You were lucky and managed to reserve a couch for yourself. Still, sleep wouldn’t come. It was too cold, and all the blankets were in use.

Shikamaru sneaks to sit down next to you, wrapped around in cozy blanket.

He was still awake, smelling like cigarettes. He had been smoking outside. The boy glanced at you and noticed you shivering. He sighs and stretches out his arm, inviting you in.

“I guess we can share the blanket, if you want”, he offered, voice nonchalant as ever.
