He knew what people thought of him. He knew why people avoided him. He had a harsh exterior, a troublemaker many would say. The nickname "Mad Dog" from Oikawa was not given to him without a certain reason anyway.

Not many had dared to speak to him but his teammates. But when she came to his life one day, hanging by a branch upside-down with a wide smile catching him who was just sitting under a tree totally off guard, he couldn't help but fall for her carefree, strong yet sweet personality.

She was his senior. He knew her, she was the only one who could beat his teammate —Iwaizumi— in many things, such as arm-wrestling. At first he didn't believe. But when he watched the competition between his two seniors, he was amazed.

Kyotani respected Iwaizumi, as he had beaten Kyotani in multiple athletic competitions. And to know there was another person that could beat the senior he looked up to? A girl on top of that? Oh he was fascinated.

He wanted to know more about the said girl. He wanted to see what she was capable of that made her stronger than Iwaizumi. He wanted to see if he could beat her or only to be defeated. He knew he had troubles expressing his genuine feelings through words. So he tried another way, actions. From what he heard, the woman who had been a hot topic inside his head worked multiple part-time jobs. One of them being at a cafe as a waitress.

Was this a bad idea? Might be. Was he ready to face her? He was up for a challenge. Did he have a plan to talk to her? Yes and no. This could go for the worst or for the best. Either of that he lived for the adrenaline. He had eyed her since the time he set foot into the cafe, she was... normal. Smiling and being friendly to the customers. Though he got to admit she was skilled at this. He had no idea of how to talk to her. Does he just walk up to her and talk casually? No, that would be awkward. They barely knew each other. He just wished she would be the one to serve him.

To his luck, he saw her approaching his table. Oh heavens! What to do now?
