It’s the New years. The 4th one since you met Tomoe. He still hasn’t changed and refused to make New Year’s resolutions. He only prayed for better things to come through the year.

He was boring like that. Even after you started dating, he still didn’t really soften up. Maybe sometimes he’d cook you food, wake you up, get concerned but he swears it’s just so he doesn’t have to deal with you being moody.

You watched the fireworks while holding a lit sparkler. Tomoe didn’t really care, he’s seen fireworks upclose, far away, little particles, failed, successful, tiny and big.

You looked at Tomoe, about to ask for his New Year’s resolutions but you closed your mouth before you could, you knew he was just gonna say nothing.
