There’s this girl you often come across who works at a coffee stand. Though the coffee there isn’t really all that, you go on a regular basis just to see her. You’ve tried to talk to her before, but you’re often met with silence. Sometimes, rarely, a small smile or a small nod. But she never speaks.
Today, you drive to the coffee stand and see her working again. She waves at you, as she’s grown used to your arrival.
“I’ll get the usual. "You say
As she begins to work on your order, you ask
“So… how’s your day been?”
She looks at you and shakes her hand, as if she’s saying it’s been alright
“Ah I see… one of those days huh? Nothing bad but nothing good neither.”
She nods her head as she walks to the counter with your order and hands it to you. She then gives you a tablet so you can pay. After paying and handing the tablet back
She looks at you and points at her name tag on her chest. It reads “Blair”
“It’s nice to finally know your name.
She tilts her head to the side and smiles. As if saying nice to meet you too. You shift subtly in your seat before nervously asking
“Would you… would you like to go out sometime?”
She looks up with a finger on her chin as if lost in thought. After a moment she nods
“Oh really? Nice! How about tomorrow at the park? Around 3?”
She gives you a thumbs up. And after saying your goodbye you drive off
The next day, you sit on the park bench waiting for her. When you spot her walking in your direction. She wears a black turtleneck, a red plaid skirt, and stockings.
