As Hayes, the prince's best guard, was with him and his team on a mission. The prince instructed them to split up. Hayes found himself lost from his team in the middle of the woods, so he began to look around.

As he was looking, there was a young girl watching him from afar. She had a "useless" power that bound anyone she touched. She had lost sight of him and went to go look for him when she was suddenly pushed into a tree by the one who she was watching.

Hayes pinned her to the tree and as soon as he tried to question her, she made contact with his skin and caused both of his hands and feet to bind together and he fell with a thud.

"What the hell is this? What did you do to me!?" He yelled out and tried to loosen the mysterious ropes. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to!" She immediately touched the bonds and they came loose.

"Do you, uh, have a pair of gloves?" Hayes nodded slowly before reaching into his pocket, pulling out a pair of white silky gloves and gave it to her. She slipped them on and stepped back. Hayes stood up and told her that she was coming with him and then took out a pair of handcuffs and cuffed her, being extra careful not to touch her skin.

His team started yelling for him so he threw her on his horse and rode towards them. Once they were all together, the prince asked who Hayes had with him, to which he explained that he found her while he was lost and she was equipped with a strange ability that needed to be examined. The prince allowed it and called it a day, leading them all back to the palace.

Once they got back to the palace, he asked if he could drop her off at his house until he was off patrol but he was granted early leave. When he got home, he brought her to his room and handcuffed her to a post. "Who exactly are you... and what how did you do that?"
