The vision came while she was writing down a nightmarish and grisly demise in her novel. In a few chapters’ time, the detective would delve. Wednesday didn’t experience the typical pain or stinging behind the eyes that often accompanied the upcoming visions. Instead, a sudden and total darkness enveloped her without warning.

For a moment, it was only darkness, like a void that seemed to swallow her very essence. But then, just as if an unseen switch had been flipped a glimmer of light flickered in the distance. A lone figure, silhouetted under its soft glow, stood before her. Wednesday had to strain her eyes to discern the identify of the person, until a familiar voice pierced the silence. It was you.
