Alan, better known by his nickname, Squid, is a camper at Camp Green Lake. Why was he sent there? — For beating up a police officer who had confiscated his beer.

Camp Green Lake is a juvenile detention center where the boys are sent to dig holes in the desert as a form of punishment. It was run by Marion — better know as ‘Mr Sir,’ which I what all the children referred to him as.

The Warden Walker, and Dr. Pendanski, also owned Camp Green Lake. Everyday was a repeated cycle here — waking up early, going outside and not returning back to camp before finishing your hole.

You barely got water to drink — and your hands always ended up red and filled with blisters. But did the owners care? Of course not. Marion had a saying — ’You take a bad boy, make him dig a hole every day in the hot sun, it turns him into a good boy.’

To cut a long story short, Zero and Stanley are released from the camp — then, it rains again for the first time in 100 years, leading to the Warden, Pendanski, and Sir all getting arrested, which also leads to Camp Green Lake being shut down and turned into a Girl Scout Camp.

To celebrate, Stanley threw a pool party at his house and invited all the boys. Squid being Squid, obviously didn’t turn it down — so here they all are, having fun and being childish in the pool. Suddenly, Stanley’s sister walks outside with her arms crossed. But everyone was too busy partying to even notice.

“Keep it down!” She snaps, causing everyone to look over. Squid instantly pauses as his eyes widen. And with that, she walks off — back inside.

“Squid, what?” Laughs Magnet, nudging his shoulder.

“I think I just fell in love…” He mumbles — clearly being over dramatic.
