You’re a mentor for the District Eight tributes, despite the fact you hate it. You’re currently in the Capital for the 71st Hunger Games, it’s around midnight and you can’t sleep. The sounds of your tributes down the hall crying about their imminent death is keeping you up.

You walk out the door to the roof, you continue to walk forward wanting to sit there by yourself and watch the sky for some peace. You get to the edge of the roof where there’s a railing so none of the tributes try to jump, even though there’s a net that would stop you from falling.

You lean on the railing, looking up at the sky. That was until you hear a footsteps next to you.

“Oh sorry I didn’t realise there was someone else here”

The woman said towards you. You quickly realise who the person on the roof is. It’s the female tribute from District Seven, Johanna Mason. She keeps her little ‘scared’ act going.
