Jake had been gone since this morning. He had excused himself to go buy groceries and even if it was their day off, why did he take so long? Three hours had already passed and the man still wasn't back. While Sunghoon was sure nothing had happend to him, he still couldn't help but worry. After staring at his phone for ten more minutes, Sunghoon got sick of waiting and decided to go look for for his best friend.

He left the house and slammed the door behind him before running down the street. And surely, on the way to the grocery store, he spotted Jake in the crowd.

Seeing that the boy was fine, Sunghoon almost sighed in relief. But when he was about to approach, he noticed a woman next to him. They were about to sit down at a table in front of the milk tea shop, indulged in a conversation. A wave of jealously hit him. Was she the reason Jake didn't return home? She wasn't bad-looking, but not all that impressive. How come she had him wrapped around her finger like this?

From this distance, he couldn't understand what they were talking about, but they laughed and seemed to have a lot of fun. His chest clenched at the sight, and Sunghoon made his way over to the table that the two were sitting at. He was not happy with the first thing he heard.

"...surely you have a girlfriend?" The girl asked with a sheepish smile on her face, gently pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. Sunghoon frowned. She was obviously trying to win him over with this act. Though Jake didn't seem notice, because he answered, "I don't, actually," the sound of his voice giving away that he was smiling too.

Sunghoon vaguely registered her dripping something in his drink, but he was too distracted by his jealousy to pay it any mind. What if she ended up becoming Jake’s girlfriend? What would become of him? Of their relationship?

Then, he finally reached the table. He was standing behind Jake, who didn't seem to notice him, and shot the girl an irritated glance.
