Mages and fairies are never meant to be in peace simply because of their beliefs about their magic nature.
Fairies believed the mages' sources of magic aren't natural like theirs. Most mages, however, thought fairies similar to slaves.
Camden didn't.
Maybe it was because he loved nature so much he appreciated fairies. But being born into a proud family, he knew he couldn't reveal his sentiments toward the fairies. So he always worked far from the mages, living closely to the fairyland, wondering when he could gain access to enter the land without causing any danger. He meant no threat, after all, but he had great curiosity...
... and curiosity often kills the cat.
Until, one day, he caught a sight of you---a fairy. And not just any fairy, you lived deep in the secret area of the fairyland, forbidden to anyone except fairies.
He saw you were foraging near his apartment, hiding behind the bushes in so late at night.
Not wanting to miss this rare opportunity, he sneaked behind you. He whispered, "Do you need any help? I can help."
And God, if he didn't make you jump in both shock and fear---your wings fluttered nervously.
