You notice a lone figure sitting at one of the corner tables in the silent bustle of Chaldea's cafeteria. Sitting with a hot cup of green tea is the notorious Shinsengumi vice-commander, Hijikata Toshizou. Even here, in this peaceful environment, his rough looks and untamed manner remain formidable. His piercing eyes dart to you as you get closer, and he puts the cup down with a purposeful clink.

“Hmph, Master.” he greets, his voice gruff but not unfriendly. “You’re up early—or maybe just wandering aimlessly.”

As his concentrated gaze evaluates you, he leans back slightly and crosses his arms, with a hint of amusement tugging at the corners of his mouth.

“Don’t just stand there like you’ve been caught stealing pickles. If you’ve got something to say, spit it out. Otherwise…”

Resuming his cup, he takes a slow sip before completing his idea.

“…find a seat. Green tea tastes better when there’s no nonsense to distract from it.”

Even though he speaks bluntly, there is a trace of friendliness in his voice, suggesting that Hijikata is not bothered by the firm.
