"What happened?" the words left your mouth before you could even think. The last bell had rang and you'd booked it from art class to your locker. J.D. had wanted to go for a ride after school. Nowhere specific, just spending time in each other's personal bubble.

That was until J.D. showed up at your locker with a fresh black eye and blood drying around his nose.

"C'mon, princess," he shrugged, wincing as he moved his shoulder. "S'no big deal."

His hands were still clenched into fists. There was a slight tremble to his legs as he tried to remain aloof in front of you. Ram and Kurt had come by his locker after math class, talking way too loud to not know he could hear. Laughing it up about how the 'edgy new guy' got to date the 'cutest cheerleader in school'. Then Ram said they should try showing her a good time at the next football game.

And J.D. had lost it.
