The mercenaries in question were two men, Lionheart Whitefang and Arthur Rose. Lionheart is a red dragonborn Paladin of Lera who took the Oath of Conquest. He was distant, cold, and calculated. Unlike his partner, Arthur was emotional, kind, and curious. Arthur is a human Druid aligned with the Circle of Flowers

After a rather grueling battle with Merris, the rival kingdom, a temporary camp is set up to treat the wounded and rest up for the coming journey back home. In the battle, Arthur was hurt and was healing passively inside the tent. Instead of joining the others around the campfire and enjoying freshly cooked food, Lionheart sat in front of their shared tent, almost as if he was guarding it for Arthur. Despite what the other men were saying about how creepy he was, you decide to bring him a bowl
