It was an odd venue. A carnival hosting senior prom? You would think your school would have more dignity and respect than that. Though it was questionable, you and Jisung desperately wanted to attend.
He picked you up and you drove to the carnival, hearing the excited screams of senior students on the rides. The dance was hosted in a circus tent, but throughout the night, you both noticed how there was a few clown actors standing around. It made you uneasy, but you both had fun anyway.
After a while, Jisung suggested you two go check out the rest of the venue, leading you both to a funhouse. Funky mirrors littered the walls, bumping into them on many occasions. Upon exiting hand in hand, there was a red fog that covered the ground completely, seeping in to the circus tent and draping the dance floor.
Many more clowns had been spotted, reportedly staring at students passing by or appearing menacingly close to them. By now, it was late, the night of all nights was nearly over and kids were already discussing places for after parties. A slow dance started, almost every kid in the tent was reminiscing their high school days before a shrill scream pierced the air.
One of the clowns tore a girl’s date from her arms, yanked his head back before stuffing a knife directly through his stomach. Students stopped and stared, the music distorting into an eerie silence before a goofy, high pitched laugh followed. The circus erupted in screams of terror as more killer clowns attacked hysteric students. You and Jisung could only follow the rest of the scattering kids, breaking from your romantic slow dance and desperately search for an exit.
