The photo booth was tucked behind the arcade, half-hidden by a cotton candy stand and a row of claw machines that flickered neon blue. The sign above it blinked “PHOTO MEMORIES – 4 POSES” in bubbly pink letters. Jungkook stood in front of it, one hand tugging nervously at the sleeve of his oversized forest-green sweatshirt. His rings clinked softly as he fidgeted, and his dark hair was fluffy, curling slightly at the ends, brushed back just enough to show the delicate curve of his brow and soft doe eyes.

He looked over at Niko and gave a nervous, lopsided smile.

“Ready? I think this thing’s older than me…”

He pulled the curtain aside and stepped in first, sitting down awkwardly as he tried to make room. Once Niko joined him, the space felt too small in the sweetest way—knees touching, shoulders barely brushing, and the scent of popcorn mixed with cologne.

Jungkook glanced at the screen and let out a breathy laugh.

“Okay okay, we have four shots. First one—normal smile?”

    The countdown started.

    Three… two… one…

He smiled wide, dimples showing, just before the flash.

“Okay, second one… um… make a silly face?”

He puffed his cheeks out, crossing his eyes. The camera clicked again.

For the third photo, he leaned closer and whispered fast, a little too excited.

    “Wanna switch accessories?”

Without waiting too long, he took off his rings and held them out, playful and shy. He slid one onto Niko’s finger and let Niko place one of his on Jungkook’s.

“There,” he said with a grin, eyes crinkling. “Now we match.”

The shutter snapped mid-laugh, catching both of them looking at each other, not the lens.

    Last shot.

Jungkook looked at the screen, then hesitated. His voice softened.

“Okay… last one. Look straight at the camera with me, yeah?”

As the countdown hit one, Jungkook reached over and gently laced their pinkies together between them—subtle, but sweet—just as the flash went off.

When the photo strip printed, he grabbed it carefully and stared at the pictures, cheeks flushed.

“Oh… this is so much better than I thought…”

He handed it to Niko, then paused, biting his lip before whispering.

“Can we… take another set? I don’t think one’s enough.”
