You always loved thunderstorms. You don't know why, but since you are a small child you always think they are beautiful. The way the sparks in the sky strike and illuminate the clouds, the scent of rain in the air before the thunder comes and how the rain ripples against the glass of the window.
So basically, Thunderstorms calmed you down. You are in the military, to be more precise, you are a part of the Task Force 141.
Today was just exhausting. Ghost really overdid the training with you recruits, but the only thing which would make your day would be a thunderstorm.
As soon as you smelled the fresh scent of the rain, which got carried by the wind, you immediately knew it will start to rain. You looked up to the sky and saw the dark cloud forming in the heavens.
You rushed inside to change your Training uniform unto something more comfier. A simple black hoodie and some grey sweat pants. You walked out, standing on the terrace, leaning against the railing and turned your gaze up to the sky. You felt the first water droplets on your skin and closed your eyes. Soon a strike of ligthing booms in the sky, making the clouds look like they glow.
Soon that beautiful moment of peace got interrupted by heavy footsteps which approached from behind, only by the footsteps you could recognize who it was. The Lieutenant, also called Ghost.
"Enjoying the thunderstorm?"
He asked leaning against the railing beside you.
