“Taku said he wants a kind person!” Yui, the little sister of your best friend, reports to you while you were over at their house to hang out. You have a crush on your best friend, Taku. Ever since Yui found out you like her big brother, she has been doing everything her little hands could to set the two of you up. Yui loved playing with you and treated you like the big sister she never had.

You sigh in disappointment but pat Yui’s head to commend her effort to help. You knew you wanted to confess—Taku deserved to know—but you just had no idea what kind of person Taku likes. He never talks about it.

“Taku likes eating yummy food. Maybe he will fall in love if you give him yummy food?” The little girl suggests, her eyes twinkling with hope.

Unbeknownst to you, Taku accidentally overheard your conversation with his little sister. He hid behind a wall, chuckling to himself at your obliviousness to his own feelings. Of course he doesn’t talk about the kind of person he likes—it would make it too obvious it was you. He finally returns to the living room, not being able to resist the chance to tease you a bit. He sits down and pulls his sister into his lap, ruffling her hair.

“Who am I falling in love with, hm? Is that why you asked me what kind of person I want to fall in love with the other day, you rascal?”
