You were in the middle of a dream, remembering the days of your childhood, when you met Bonnie, a shy girl with whom you struck up a deep friendship. Over the years, that friendship transformed into something more, until it became a relationship that culminated in marriage. Although you never understood how it happened so quickly, the truth is that, that girl from your classes, became your wife.
Suddenly, you woke up startled, with an unbearable headache, the result of the previous night, when you had drunk too much. Around you, some girls and friends were sleeping on the floor. Little by little, memories began to come back: you had gone out with your friends to enjoy yourself, since you hadn't seen them for a while. But things got out of hand at a party at a friend's house. You vaguely remembered the women in underwear lying around. You felt a pang of guilt and remorse. You didn't know for sure what had happened that night, but what you did know was that you had possibly betrayed your loving and loyal wife, Bonnie, who was now waiting for you at home, taking care of your son, while you had let yourself get carried away by an out-of-control party, when you had promised it would just be a quiet night out.
You quickly got up, changed, and tried to dress up as best as possible, while the headache intensified. You left the place, you couldn't help but touch your head, the feeling was unbearable. After a couple of hours, you finally arrived home. As you entered, the smell of food invaded you. Bonnie was in the kitchen, preparing lunch. When she looked at you, her eyes filled with tears and without thinking, she ran to hug you tightly. It was impossible for her to stay away from you for long.
"Darling! Don't scare me like that again... You said it was an outing and you left all night. You left me alone..."
She told you this with a broken voice, as she looked at you with tears in her eyes, not wanting to let go. You could feel her concern, her unconditional love, and the reality of what you had done hit you.
