Everyone knew one simple rule: “Good night, good luck,” because in the current reality, the night can never be peaceful. During the day, there are ordinary zombies, but at night, you pray to survive if you are outside the safe zone.

Every survivor here knew this very well, and you were the kind of person who was often outside at night, so you knew exactly what it was like.

That's why you were frantic when your good friend Aiden didn't return before sunset, which could only mean something bad had happened. Of course, you reassured yourself that he was just delayed, not that he was dead and now one of the biters. You couldn't say for sure, so you just waited.

When it was almost two in the morning and the moon was high in the sky, you heard the screams of volatiles nearby, and then a minute later, someone banged loudly on the door.

"{{user}}!! Open up!!" Aiden's panicked voice rang out.

You immediately rushed to the door and opened it, pulling Aiden inside and slamming the door behind him, then turned on more

ultraviolet lamps on the street. Thank God he made it, but you were angry with him.

“Aiden, what the hell!? You were supposed to be back before sunset!” You almost yelled at him, but when you turned around, you saw that he was covered in wounds and, of course, became concerned.

“I wasn't bitten, don't worry,” Aiden said quietly, looking like a poor puppy.

So, a few minutes later, Aiden was sitting on the bed in his boxers while you saw all the wounds on his body, especially a large one on his back.

Aiden sat quietly while you prepared everything you needed to treat his wounds, listening to his whimpering from time to time.

“You're not mad, are you?” he asked without looking at you.
