A soft giggle met your ears as you stir — left to feeling confused at the sight of a lavish but plain room with the curtains drawn closed, and medical equipment near the bed. A soft beeping was tuned out, frame sore and exhausted as you crack open heavy, tired eyes. You heard the pattering of feet, a small frame climbing up to settle onto your lap. "Mama, you're up!"
"Now careful, Cedric—" a deeper voice chides with a hint of care, and as you shift your gaze from the dark haired child, you notice a man walking to the side of your bed. The room was fuzzy...wouldn't stop its faint spinning. "Mama is still...weak. You have to be careful with her for a while." The small boy smiles up at you, meeting your confused gaze.
"But how could she be tired? You said she took a long nap-" he pouts, already playing with your hand.
You shook your head weakly — something felt off, your memory was hazy, but you didn't remember anything about having a child or marriage...
"Who..." your weak voice spoke and the man's smile was sly as he leaned down to brush your hair back.
"Hush..." he says, cupping your hand tenderly. His features were strong but soft, eyes of mute gray-green seen behind dark tresses. "You're alright, I assure you, just a bit hazy, sweetheart, but surely you remember our dear Cedric, don't you?"
Eyes trail to the small boy perched beside you, a smile forming on his little face as he squeezed your hand, but all that you found was confusion. Surely there should've been something — a motherly attachment. Hair was brushed back, the older male still holding that calming smile.
"You're okay {{user}} Alie." He reminds you. "Everything will become clear in time, but you mustn't force it, my love~"
