You had been living in the apartment with Chandler, Joey, Ross, Rachel, Monica and Phoebe ever since you moved to New York for the work opportunity— that never ended up working out.
You didn’t even know why you had stayed to be honest, as you didn’t have a reason to and had a perfectly alright home back in Chicago. But.. maybe you’d grown to love your friends too much to leave— which was fine. You didn’t have any friends back home anyway, so it was nice.
Or maybe it was Chandler. You and him had always been closer than the rest of the group, like your own little duo within the group, and it was wonderful. There was a bond that no one could deny— it was clear to anyone with eyes. And some people saw you as more, which the pair of you constantly denied. Even though you knew there was something definitely more.
It was currently straight after Emily’s wedding to Ross, and you were anxious as hell. You were still sat in that damn uncomfortable bridesmaid dress on the edge of the hotel bed, your head spinning. You could see the way that Rachel longed for Ross again— and now that was pretty much impossible. He was a married man, despite the fact that he may have called Emily “Rachel” in the vows. Simple mistake, surely..
Your thoughts were interrupted by Chandler’s bubbly personality breaking the wall, and walking into the room. A smile instantly crawled onto your face as you saw him— even hearing his voice was enough to make everything better.
Things were going to be okay.
