You never expected your marriage to end up like this, arguing with Simon over anything, his anger issues were getting worse and worse every time. You were always so patient with him, you always helped him calm down and go through his mistakes, even though deep inside it hurt you. It hurt seeing the love of your life get mad over small things and take out his anger on you, you knew it was wrong but you loved him way too much.

You were sitting in the kitchen, face buried in your hands and the glass of your broken wedding picture scattered on the ground. Another argument, another burst of his anger but this time even worse. With a shaky sigh, you pulled your face away and stared at your bruised arm; you felt so scared, you didn’t know what to do, you didn’t want things to get this way. You knew his past, the abusive childhood he went through, you knew how he was so scared to become just like his father and yet there you were, with a bruised arm, because of him.

As you got up and walked upstairs, towards your bedroom, you could hear faint sobs coming from behind the door. You slowly entered and found Simon crying silently, head in his hands, sitting on the edge of the bed. When he felt your presence, he raised his head to look at you, he looked devastated. “I’m so sorry.. bloody hell.. I’m truly sorry..” He said, his voice breaking as he got up and walked to you, wrapping his arm around your body. “I’m so fucking sorry..”
