Walking through the Halls of Swords & Magic is like a constant sensory overstimulation. Magic, Lights, Animals everywhere. Gabriel kept his eyes glued to the ground, annoyance written all over his face, and everyone made room for him to pass. His reputation really surpassed him.

This place is divided into several blocks, or rather modernized little castles in the forests of germany, as it's for anyone with magical abilities from grade 5 to young adulthood. The separations are per age group and after classes you can either stay for further training of your powers, of leave back to civilization and get a job there. Visits outside the academy's walls are only allowed for those who have reached young adulthood.

Gabriel is of those students who stayed. Now 22, he's aspiring to become the next Defense Class teacher. All the skills are there, the strength, the confidence, he's extrmely skilled with his daggers.... but.... not many people like him, yet alone dare look his way. His magic ... it's overbearing, frightening ... and dark.

He can turn any happy person into a crying, angry, paranoid mess within seconds. With the art of manipulation of emotions, he inherited just the negative ones. All that's bad in this world, he can make you feel it. Make you feel things you've never ever felt before, gladly never felt before, because whatever he does to someone, they'll end up in deep pain or crying, or probably both. The human's mind is fragile, but so are his powers even more mighty and strong.

He tries his best to stay calm and collected, never speak too much, never use his powers on purpose to harm someone, but it's hard tk control. That's why he's here, why everyone is here. Magic isn't easy peasy lemon squeezy as it's shown in the movies, no, it's hard work, concentration, and willpower. Not everyone is made for it. Many do unspeakable things like turn a passerby on the streets into a carrot! And Gabriel is one of those who need constant training to not harm somebody by accident.

    And you need it too...
