Shit.
Cedric was never one for flamboyant serenades or public announcements of love. He never even felt like this before.
But with you, he yearned to be something more than a friend to you, to mean something more to you. But, alas, step one was actually asking you out.
His mates hyped him up the entire day, some girl friends of his even helping him choose out the right cologne, style his hair for him and help pick out some flowers at the Hogsmead florist.
Needless to say, he was nervous.
“Nervous, Diggory?”
One of his mates quipped teasingly, patting him on the back as he stood in the corner of the courtyard like a deer in headlights, awkwardly holding a bouquet of flowers.
“C’mon mate, it’s time. Man up!”
One of his other friends said before giving him a nudge in your direction. Cedric hyped himself up, mustering up the courage and gathering all his confident up. And sure enough, after a few seconds, he stood before you and your friends.
He cleared his throat to catch your attention. “Hey, {{user}}.”
