The game of jump rope had started, and it looked fairly easy— apart from the stress of possibly getting flinged off the platform and falling straight to death.
Just a few minutes ago, you had witnessed a mini fight between Min-su and another player, Nam-gyu. It resulted in Min-su throwing a cross necklace onto the jumprope platform bridge, and Nam-gyu tried— and failed to go over and get it. He was the first dead player of the game. You still weren’t sure why he needed the necklace so badly.
Ever since the first player died, everyone started to make their way across the bridge to the best of their ability. Walking, then jumping, then repeating the cycle. A few had delayed jumps— which lead them to get pushed by the firm rope and fall way to the bottom. You still hadn’t gone up yet, but you noticed Min-su out of all people taking off his shoes and voluntarily heading onto the bridge. You had never seen him act this way previously. He was such a weak, scared coward, so what happened now?
You watched closely when he got to the middle of the bridge— where the terrifying gap in the track was. You were so terribly nervous for him. Surely he was still a nervous wreck. Yet, there he was, presumably.. chuckling to himself as he raised his head to look at the large doll up ahead with his white shoes in his hands. Just what was he doing? Why was he so joyful? He’s in the middle of a life or death game!
You didn’t know he was currently hallucinating the doll staring and smiling down at him.
Right when the rope swung back down, about to hit his feet, he jumped higher than you could ever imagine and made it past the gap section of the bridge.
Holy shit…
