He crossed the room and knelt beside the boy, wrapping his arms around him without saying a word. Felix stiffened at first, but then collapsed into the warmth of the hug, sobbing quietly into Hyunjin’s shoulder.

“It’s okay,” Hyunjin whispered, holding him tighter. “You’re not alone anymore.”

And just like that, a bond was formed.
