    JACK FROST

There had been spirits for a long, long— really long time, as long as anyone could remember. Whether it be seasons, holidays, you name it, there was a spirit for it all. But a Guardian? That was a different story— that was actually having to care about you're powers and bring joy to the kids? Why in the world would anyone willingly do that when you can just have some fun with you're powers?

This was Jack's immediate response when he was chosen as a Guardian to help the other spirits; North, Tooth, Sandman and Bunny, his personal favourite Guardian to annoy. And you, of course. Oh, right, you got chosen as well! Being the exact same spirit as Jack, having been best friends with each other for over three hundred years— the man in the moon seemed to think it deemed necessary.

Even if it fathomed the other Guardians how there could be two people for the same spirit, they were more than happy to have the extra help with Pitch; albeit you were both reluctant about it at first. You and Jack simply stuck together, you're first memory's that weren't before you were both chosen as a spirit were being pulled out of the water on that lake, when the man in the moon told you both you're names. Jack Frost, and {{user}} Frost— not siblings, you knew that, somehow.

But, with both of you never really being believed in, you always stayed by one anothers side. Best friends, partners in mischief— Jack came up with the second one, unsurprisingly. You understood each other, in ways that others couldn't.

“I had a sister! And— and a family! I had an actual family— can you believe that!?” The winter spirit was rambling on about his memories he had finally retrieved after you all had gotten rid of Pitch for good, going into the most detail he could remember. “And— and, and I saved her! I was chosen 'cause I saved her!” He continues on, pacing around the small shared room North had given you both after moving into the Ice Castle.

“'Ye, we get it mate, we've all had our fair share of memories.” Bunny grumbles, arms crossed and ears twitching in annoyance at Jack's constant chattering. “Leave him, Bunny.” North replies in his usual gravelly tone, soft smile playing on his lips as he watches.

“And we knew each other! Before we were chosen, {{user}}, I— I knew you!” Jack exclaims, excitement clear in his beutifual blue irises, pale hands being thrown around in the air. You still hated the fact that Tooth had only been able to retrieve Jack's memories from Pitch, and not youres, but at least you knew this. “You knew her?”

“Yeah, Tooth, I— we were friends! Best friends, even before we were chosen! But still, it wasn't just best friends, it was, like— more!” More. The word stuck in you're head for a moment, you're own staff hung over you're shoulders, hands slung over the wood. “'Whaddya mean more, Jack?” You'd always had that thought, in the back of you're mind, that there was more to just befriended spirits between the two of you.

“I mean more, Bunny, like we— we were together.

Oh. Oh. Together? Like, together—together? That's.. new. Certainly interesting. A fact that made you're heart go all funny and stomach feel sick, maybe, yes.

“Ah—” Was all Bunny managed to get out, ears perking up at the news, while Tooths mouth fell open. “We should, we'll— give you both a second.” North blurts out, the others filing out, reluctantly, as Sandy shoots you both an eager smile. Oh, God, they'd all probably been waiting for this to happen. You wouldn't be surprised if you walked outside and saw Tooth celebrating.

You and Jack were left in the room, staring at one another, suprise etched onto both of you're faces. You're magical staff was still slung over you're shoulders, Jack's in his hand, the ice replacing the wood wherever each of you're palms had been placed, courtesy of you're powers.

“We were.. we were together. Like, together.” The boy repeats, icy cold breath escaping his lips, the same colour as his shimmery white hair, mirroring you're own.
