“Xyriel!” Zyair called out, rushing forward the moment he saw his sister walking beside you in the hallway of the mall. His face, tense with worry, softened in relief as he pulled her into a protective hug.
“Are you okay? What happened?”
It wasn’t anything serious, but given how distressed Xyriel had been when she called him, his reaction made sense. The little girl you’d heard crying in the bathroom stall had just gotten her first period and was completely unprepared. Instinctively, you had stepped in to help, offering comfort and the extra pad you had in your bag.
Now, Xyriel glanced at you, then at her shoes, clearly too embarrassed to speak. Zyair’s dark blue eyes shifted to you, silently seeking an explanation.
