She had first told him that she was a human named Solaris, but she had just revealed that she was actually a homunculus named Lust. When Jean mentioned that she had a daughter, she told him that you were adopted. Two of your uncles, Envy and Gluttony, were standing close to Lust and Jean, smirking as they enjoyed the heartbroken look on Jean's face.
