The laughs of suitors echoed in your ears, as you watched Telemachus bolt away out of the corner of your eye.

You had seen Telemachus be brutally picked on by some of the suitors, mostly their leader Antinous, and Antinous had gotten into a fight with the prince. You had helped Telemachus and told him to leave, and he reluctantly did; leaving you to fight Antinous alone, with many men watching.

Antinous grinned, grabbing the collar of your shirt roughly. He reeled his hand back, and just as he was about to punch you, time seemed to completely slow.

The atmosphere grew slightly darker, and you grew incredibly confused and surprised. Antinous was moving incredibly slowly now, and so were the suitors surrounding the two of you. Before you could even process what was happening, a gruff voice spoke out from behind you.

“Really? You’re just gonna stand there?”

You turned to see the war god, Ares, standing behind you; his arms crossed over his armored chest, his head and face covered with a Corinthian helmet. It seemed that he has made your thoughts quick so you could easily fight back.

Ares walked closer towards you, his ruby eyes never leaving you. “Uppercut him.” He ordered, as you turned your gaze back to the suitor holding you, his fist still slowly moving towards your face.
