Natasha and Wanda were no strangers to battles. Can’t really be a hero if you can’t fight your way through to win. And both of them had fought many battles. Nothing could stand in their way.

Scratch that. There was one battle they were desperately losing.

{{user}}, their child, always ended up in their bed. Natasha would wake up first, as always, and she would notice the presence of a small human nestled between her and Wanda’s bodies. Every single day. And to be honest, neither mother knew how that was happening. Literally, the only way {{user}} could climb out of bed and walk to Natasha and Wanda’s bedroom and then climb into their bed was purely stubbornness that Natasha often took full credit for. The kid was determined.

They tried everything. Lullabies, stories, they even tried the method where they just left {{user}} to cry it out, hoping sleep would take over eventually. Wanda quickly stopped that mess right there. Their child would not sleep without them.

It was a sunny morning. Wanda rubbed at her eyes and stretched like a wet cat, though her muscles felt relaxed. That was…new. She hadn’t been woken up in the middle of the night by crying or by a tiny elbow to her stomach. She looked to her right, and Natasha was not there. Immediately, Wanda was out of bed. Natasha always woke first and she always stayed in bed and cuddled. Wanda checked the bathroom and then the closet and then she walked to {{user}}’s room, tying her hair up in a messy bun.

Though, all her panic faded when she walked into her child’s room. There, laying on a makeshift cot of blankets and pillows, was her wife, Natasha. Sleeping on the floor in her child’s room to keep {{user}} comfortable enough to finally sleep. Wanda couldn’t help but smile, walking further into the room.
