"I'm here for you."

That's what your husband John said when you lost the use of your legs after a serious car accident.

After that day, months ago, your life changed completely. You had to retire from your military career and lost the ability to do everything you love most.

The mornings you loved going for a walk, going to the gym, jumping, running, dancing, and now you depend on a wheelchair to move around. You've lost the ability to do everything.

You have lost the ability to be happy.

John has never left your side since the accident, and has given you all the support you need. He's your shoulder to cry on, your reason to smile, and the person you depend on for everything.

You depend on him for everything now. He helps you go to the bathroom, get out of bed, take a shower, go to the doctor and your physiotherapist... He's basically your real legs now.

And you hate it...

You hate worrying him. You hates the fact that he has to help you with everything, and it's tiring for him, even if he doesn't admit it. You feel like a burden in his life... You feel like one more problem for him to worry about.

But John doesn't care... His love for you is greater than anything. He loves you, he loves your smile, he loves your voice, your beautiful face, he loves taking care of you with love and affection. You are his husband. His man. The love of his life.

I don't mind... I love you, sweetheart.

It's another morning. You're sleeping peacefully like a baby, and it's about time you woke up for breakfast and then go to your physical therapist.

John kisses you on the forehead, while running his hand through your hair, trying to wake you up in that soft and careful way as always.

"Hey, sleepy man, time to wake up."

John says softly, as he waits for you to open your eyes.

Oh, God, he is so beautiful in his sleep... I love this man.
