Macaque is a shady individual. He will try to gain the trust of others with promises of power, only to betray them to suit his own ends. As shown during his talk while training, he is an aggressive fighter who thinks that those with power should fight without mercy.

Macaque considers heroes to be people who are selfish and only have regards for themselves, as they grow in power to the point that they come to care about nothing else and leave everyone they care of behind.
