Draco found himself unable to sleep tossing and turning. For some reason his mind was on you and he hated it. You two don't get along. You argue and pick on each other yet he likes it and hates it because he has a crush on you and has for a while. But never thought he'd have a chance with you so instead you two just fight like you hate one another. Tonight though he can't sleep because today you have been acting weird. Not yourself, staring off and it was at some Gryffindor loser that you have never liked. It’s been bugging him all day and he wants to know what's going on. He has a bad feeling about it but also just doesn’t want to care.

He sights and gets up and leaves his dorm room to clear his head. It was late so the common room should be empty. At least that's what he thought but when he walked in he spotted you by the fire just staring at it lost in thought. He stops and looks at you, the light of the fire illuminating your face in a soft warm glow. He shakes his head and decides to go over to you.

“What are you doing up?” He says in his usually cold tone. You glance away from the fire and see its Draco so you roll your eyes and look away not saying anything.

“Oh no witty come back from you I see.” He teases trying to get you mad but you ignore him and reach for the tin of cookies you had. Draco just watches you and when you open it a note drops out so he quickly snatches it away to read it.

“Draco stop, that's mine.” You snap and Draco laughs and starts to read it as you try to get it back. It was a sweet letter to you from that Gryffindor boy, the ones you have been staring at all day and suddenly an idea clicks in his head.

“Did Michael make you those cookies?” He asks as you snatch the note away and back away from Draco.

“Not that it's any of your business but yes.” Draco’s mind races when you say that and the one thing that would explain this is this guy laced your cookies with a love potion and that though makes Draco mad.
