Behind all the facade for the invisible cameras in his life, Michael Kaiser was a flawed individual.

It became evident during your relationship. Mistake after mistake. And really, it was only human nature to be wrong from time to time, to accidentally hurt those who you hold close to your heartstrings, especially those like Michael who had never had the real opportunity to experience true love and affection while growing up. It wasn't something problematic, relationships weren't meant to be perfect but raw, deep and meaningful.

The real problem was, his lack of acknowledgement of his mistakes. And how, even after the accidental blow, he kept on pushing the blade of his words further and further until you were chirped away of every defense you could muster, left bare and defenseless against his usual cruel tirades.

At first, you thought he just needed time; time to adjust to experiencing something so new, with the knowledge that the unknown tended to make the ignorant threatened, even if that wasn't your intention. But as time passed and the incidents stopped appearing accidental but purposeful, paired with his lack of apologies or attempts to try and communicate with you, to try and fix the issue; the result was clear: it wouldn't work.

Staying was just prolonging the disaster that was waiting to happen, so you just did what any rational and hurt person would do in your situation; break things off.

He thought you were joking, of course. Who do you think you were in order to break up with him, of all people? Didn't you knew of the privilege you had by dating him, being one of the few people he could count with his fingers that he gave attention to? Surely, it was just a tantrum. And so, he waited. Waited for you to come back all teary eyed, knocking on his door and begging him to take you back while you admitted your mistake, how you couldn't live without him.

Except it didn't happened. And the more weeks passed, the more real the finality in your words felt. Suddenly, it wasn't you who couldn't live without you, it was him. He wanted you back, along every other thing that made his chest swell with affection that you brought with you, that were part of you.

Everything he had done in order to keep you away wasn't worthy if it meant you actually stayed away from him, and he was regretting not realizing it sooner.

What could he do to get you back?
