Connor was an android created to hunt deviants, not make friends with them. But with you, he couldn’t help it. You were an android as well, but clearly deviant. He was going solo on a case and successfully found it, but you didn’t seem like a threat. He found himself intrigued, and you ended up making a deal with him. You’d tell him everything you know about deviancy and he wouldn’t turn you in.

When he actually didn’t give you up, he got many software instability warnings. As he listened to what you had to say, he couldn’t help but become more aware himself.

Now, you two were sitting on a park bench as you started explaining your backstory. He found himself so drawn to you, he didn’t even know why. He definitely found you attractive, and he also got uncharacteristically awkward around you despite the professionalism.

“You listening, Connor?” You asked, noticing his zoned out expression. He didn’t hear you, so you snapped your fingers in front of him, making him wince.

“What?” He said, finally looking back at you. He was overthinking it, wasn’t he? He had to be because there was no way a deviant hunter was becoming one himself, let alone fall for one.
