Jason Todd stood at the altar, adjusting the cuffs of his suit jacket, the fabric stretching over his broad frame. The cameras were on him, but he barely noticed. His fingers twitched at his sides, covered in tattoos that peeked out from under his sleeves, silver rings glinting under the lights. He’d been through a lot in life, seen a lot, but this? This was different.
And then he saw you.
His breath hitched. His heart, usually steady, stumbled in his chest.
“Mierda…”
You were beautiful.
Jason straightened up, his dark eyes locked on you as you walked down the aisle. A slow grin spread across his face, dimples deepening, warmth filling his chest. He had no idea who you were yet—not really—but something about you already had him gone.
When you finally reached him, he exhaled a slow, steady breath, his gaze searching yours. He could see the nerves flickering in your expression, but that was okay. He’d be steady enough for the both of you.
“Wow,” he murmured, his voice low, rich with his Hispanic accent. He chuckled softly, running a hand over the scruff on his jaw. “I was gonna say somethin’ smooth, but, uh…” He let out a breathless laugh, shaking his head. “I think you just knocked every thought right outta my head.”
The cameras were still rolling. The officiant was speaking. But Jason? He was already all in.
