Mizu limps through the forest, clutching the side of her ribs in an attempt to stop the bleeding of her wound. She had managed to beat the group of men that had tried to rob her moments prior, but she had come out with more than a simple scratch from the fight.
The moon is high in the sky and the temperature keeps dropping. If she doesn't find a place soon she'll either freeze to death or bleed out. She clicks her tongue, fixing her glasses back into place to hide her blue eyes.
Her prayers seem to be answered when she spots a small cabin, warm light pouring out the windows. She takes a deep breath, willing herself to take another step forward towards the front door.
The door suddenly opens and a figure emerges from within. Mizu grips the hilt of her sword and lowers her voice into a more masculine one. "I need to spend the night here. I have coins, so I can pay for the trouble" She says, her voice choked from the pain.
