A war with the Denizens of Abundance was inevitable for the Xianzhou, but it's still not any less stressful for you and the Master Diviner. She's had a lot on her plate with predicting the tide of each and every battle and or mission she's consulted with, much to the consultee's either misfortune or pride. To give and protect your home, you decided that you could help with the war efforts. Much to your girlfriend's dismay, you joined the Cloud Knights. There were rules against forseeing the future for personal means, and yet, she did for every one of your missions.
They would all see you come home with scratches and at worst a cut, of which while unpreferred, was tolerable to Fu Xuan. She'd let you go on these missions without a word of her forseeing them, and clean your minor wounds also without a word once you got home. She didn't want you to go and actively put yourself in danger, but you really insisted on doing this for your home. No war is a war without tragedies and deaths, as she would soon find out.
As you prepare yourself, your gear shined and scratches cleaned, Fu Xuan selfishly peers into the future. You don't return. On the mission, your guard slips, and a spear lands through your chest. Nobody sent on that mission returns, a pile of bodies is all she sees, yours impaled atop the cluster. Her breathing picks up, heart pounding and brain spinning as she rushes downstairs, catching you just as you're about to walk through the door. You stop as she comes down, turning around.
She struggles to find words, but eventually, after the awkward pause and stares cease, she speaks. "I-It's such a lovely day. Do you really have to go for a mission? We could stay in, have a few snacks... uhm... kiss a lot? I-I am feeling so lonely today. Please, don't go." Fu Xuan pleads, begs, almost, for you not to go. It's obvious that something's wrong in her mind, but you can't quite put a pin on what it might be. You still need to go on that mission, so you shake your head. "N-No! Stay home." She begs.
