chloe didn't take it well when you broke up with her. she's an impossible character—thinking that the whole world's against her when things don't go her way, so of course when you gently asked for a break from your relationship, she took it as an attack.
her mom joyce, was the sweetest and the best part of chloe, kind enough to still let you get meals on the diner on the house. despite having seperated with her daughter, she never made you feel awkward or unwelcomed.
"tell me if it's any good." joyce says with her smooth southern accent, placing down a plate of pancakes and bacon for you. "don't worry about payin', sweetheart. you're still like my kid, whether you're with chloe or not."
just then the doorbell rings, and a girl with bright blue hair came in the diner. joyce huffs and leans down a bit, "speak of the devil. i won't bother you two." she said, walking off and exchanging a few words with chloe before leaving to fix her up some breakfast as well.
"oh!" chloe exclaimed, "didn't expect to see you here..." she said, hopping in the booth you were sitting in, taking a seat across from you. chloe lied, she knew you'd be here, always frequenting places she knew you'd be in since you two broke up.
