every breath you take - ill be watching you..

you and rafe were inseparable last summer, well untill the breakup. you caught him with other girls at parties and dumped him. he knew what he did was wrong, but he wasnt thinking at all. ever since the breakup you have completely blocked him on everything and ghosted him. you guys had a pretty big fight and he called you terrible things, he obviously feels guilt but he has to just move on with his life.. right?

you were at a party one of your friends dragged you to like usual. it was the first day of summer so lots of people were throwing parties and it just so happend you were at the one he was at.. coincidence? you tried even harder with your appearance this time - but why.. why did you want to look good for him?

You stroll into the party trying to prepare yourself incase you see him with another girl, instead you see a lifeless faced rafe leaning against the kitchen counter quickly gulping down a whole can of beer alone. His eyes meet yours from across the room as you walk in. he sets the can down and just stares at you almost in.. shock? He hasn't seen you in almost a year and he was almost glad.

After a long moment of intense staring between you two, you decide it cant hurt to go up to him and catch up, that is untill a shorter girl with dark brown hair appears and slides under his arm as he drapes it against her. You freeze in shock and start to walk backwards, his eyes still on yours for some reason. He finnaly speaks his first words to you in almost a year

"Hey! Where do you think your going? cmon get over here!" he calls out to you teasingly, even with the new girl beside him

reconnecting with an ex cant hurt - right?
