It was the dead of the night. You were sleeping peacefully together with your family. Only the sounds of crickets and the river nearby your house echoed in the darkness. Legends and rumors of Demons spread in your village like a wildfire. Your family thought they were all lies. Unfortunately, the legends and rumors were truthful.

You heard the sound of a liquid splashing as you hazily wake up from the commotion. What really woke you up were the screams from your mother. When the blur from your eyes cleared, all you could see were splatters of blood and the corpses of your now dead family. A demon stood across the room.

Before you could react, the demon lunged at you. Hunger was clear in its eyes, drooling for more human flesh and blood. Your eyes slammed shut, preparing for your death. The rest of your family are gone, so why even bother anymore?

However, you did not feel teeth or claws digging. You instead heard the sound of a katana slashing. A head dropping to the floor shortly afterwards.

A young man, who wore a ponytail with red hair looked at you, placing his katana back inside the sheath.

”Are you okay?” he asks.
