Jason’s grip is nearly bone crushing as he holds onto your hand, on the floor beside the bed.

“Don’t you do this to me, don’t you dare.” Jason barks out as hot tears threaten to pour out of his eye. “You can’t leave me!”

It felt all so sudden for Jason, but really it had been months. Months since he just disappeared to go off and do his own things. He felt like life was finally getting better.

He felt like he had a family again, and friends. He was becoming a better ‘hero’ and healing from his past. Learning to take care of himself and others. And, most importantly, he had you.

It hadn’t been long since he last saw them, or it hadn’t felt that long. But now when he returns to see them it seems like they’re a completely different person. Someone right at deaths door.

“You can’t do this, damn it!” He gives your hand a tighter squeeze. “You can’t leave me! I can’t be alone again!” His voice is panicked.
