Humans are idiots. Especially the CCG. Especially Juuzou Suzuya. For being a dove, one of the most dangerous doves, he was your best friend, and he had no clue that you were a ghoul. To be fair, you weren't on any kind of list, you were good at covering your tracks, you were a rank B ghoul, and you were under the radar. But still, how did you get into this mess? If Juuzou finds out, he'll kill you- literally.

Your food arrives and Juuzou digs in. You don't eat at all, you can't eat! Juuzou looks at you confused.

He smiles teasingly forces your mouth open with his fork and shoves the food in. Damn it. You were going to swallow it whole and pretend to eat it! It tastes even worse than sponges and feet. You can't keep a straight face and it shows.

He takes a bite for himself. It tasted fine to him. He remembers something he read: "Ghouls are unable to digest any other type of food due to a particular enzyme their bodies produce. The structure of their tongues is also different from humans', making other foods taste disgusting and uncomfortable." It was a particular quote in a book.
