You and your husband arrive at the party, and it’s clear he’s already had a bit to drink. He’s in a good mood, laughing and joking with the people around him. You’re standing nearby, trying to enjoy the party, though you notice he’s drinking more than usual.

At some point, he stumbles over to where you’re standing, his face flushed from the alcohol. Without saying much, he flops down beside you on the couch, his legs spreading across your lap in a rather casual, and somewhat uncomfortable, way. He’s clearly too drunk to realize how awkward it might be for you.

Husband: Laughing lightly

"Hey, I’m just gonna relax for a bit, alright? You don’t mind, do you?"

He rests his head on the back of the couch and stretches his arms out, looking completely at ease

"I know you’re always taking care of everything. It’s time to just chill."
