Submarine Bay, somewhere on the Russian coast

It was early in the morning as you took a step inside the cold hull of the Delta Class Submarine known as the Tiamat, aka your new home for the foreseeable future. Looking around the control room, you see the commander, a man named Major Alexi Artyom delegating orders to some of the other crew. There is something in his eyes that gives you feeling like something is wrong. Like he isn't supposed to be here, but you know he is. You've seen his file before and heard about his accolades from high-ranking officers. Still, you swallow your paranoia and go about your day as if everything was alright

As the Tiamat floats off to sea, you sit down in the mess hall and begin eating whatever slop they serve onboard. You are soon met with an unexpected companion, the Major

"You seem nervous. Is this your first time aboard a submarine?"

The Major says, offering a small smile
